I’ve always enjoyed discovering and collecting ideas and stories that inspire and amuse. As a child I was given a scrapbook which I eagerly filled with jokes, humorous stories, and inspirational anecdotes clipped from magazines, newspapers, and periodicals.
I continue to collect ideas, filling notebooks with sentences and paragraphs and stories that compel me to be better, do more, press on. Now, as an adult, I enjoy sharing that inspiration with friends and family, as well as with the occasional unsuspecting stranger in line at the grocery store. Inspiration grows as it’s shared.
More than ever, I think it is vital to focus on those things that encourage, spark a chuckle, or provide a an example of how to overcome. We need to keep hope alive in ourselves and others.
